My Heart Is In the Mountains

Terry Tucker, Ardyth Gilbertson, Ralph Gordon
Terry Tucker, music; Daniel Bedinger Lucas (1836-1909), poem

from Lantern in a Poet's Garden CD:  This poem is a tribute to the Blue Ridge mountains near Daniel Bedinger Lucas' home, Ryan Hall, near Charles Town, WV.  It was written before West Virginia separated from Virginia so there's mention of the River James  which is in Virginia.  I grew up in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia so my heart is in the mountains too.
